Formation, a traveling exhibition curated and produced by Guild of Book Workers, just opened at the North Bennet Street School (NBSS).
Fifty-one fine bindings explore the theme of formation: of personal narratives and histories, biology, craftsmanship, forming ideas, geographies, and many more interpretations.
After traveling to the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts, the Robert C. Williams Papermaking Museum at Georgia Tech, and Charles E. Young Research Library Lobby Gallery at UCLA, the exhibit will be on view for two months at NBSS before its final stop at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
The show is free and open to the public until July 27 at the NBSS’s Gallery/Store, on weekdays (9:00 am — 4:00 pm) and on Saturdays (10:00 am — 2:00 pm), or by appointment.
The exhibit reception will be on Thursday, July 18, 6-8 pm. To attend, RSVP here: nbss.edu/calendar/event-detail/~occur-id/8072 https://www.nbss.edu/calendar/event-detail/~occur-id/8072.
